Bella Emerging

As many of you know, in January I threw on the brakes with my brick and mortar shop and completely switched gears, and boy howdy am I glad I did. It just goes to show, you should listen to your heart and gut. As much as I loved my shop, it wasn't really about me and my work and I really needed to be able to move forward with my ideas and with what I wanted. Since relieving myself of the shop, my creativity has blossomed like never before. My life has just got better, drastically better. And, as I have spent the last few months rebuilding Bella LuElla, it is finally taking shape and becoming what I had envisioned three years ago. Perhaps it took me the many detours, ups and downs and wandering to find my way. In many ways, I feel like I was a caterpillar moving along slowly and now, as a butterfly, I am emerging.

I am in the process of creating an e-commerce website and putting a few trial pieces on there - a mix of accessories and design. More on that to come. But, through out all of this, I am very pleased to see my vision of the Bella LuElla brand is really starting to take shape. New Spring Facebook Covers

I don't know how I lost a folder filled with spring Facebook banners, but I did. I was a wee bit upset! I had done a ton of St. Patrick's Day and Easter Facebook freebie banners, and they are gone. :(
I have been designing like a madwoman, rapidly creating massive files and needed to start backing them up and storing them off my computer. I must have inadvertently threw them away, grrrr. It won't help to tell you that some of them had the cutest bunny rabbits on them. I will keep looking, and hopefully have some time to create some new ones soon! And now, that you are thoroughly disappointed...

So, I have been blissfully wrapped up in designing these past few weeks. I have started making and selling more intricate custom facebook banners on my Etsy and have to show off a couple I just recently did. The pink one is my favorite! Spring is Coming!

We have flowers starting to bud in our neck of the woods and the winds started picking up today meaning March is right around the corner and will usher in glorious spring!

I thought I would celebrate by making some spring graphics! I made you sweeties some freebies and I am also going to begin selling new fancy Facebook covers and matching profile pics on Etsy. The ones on Etsy I will customize with your photos!

Plop that Valentine!

Happy Valentine's to everyone! I have received several emails and comments asking me how to use photo ploppers. I uploaded a couple of really cute matching ploppers today for Valentine's day for everyone to use on their Facebook pages. This set includes an image for the cover photo and one for your profile picture. I made a video to show all of you how to use these. I use photoshop, so you will need to use whatever photo editing software you have. I am imagining the steps will be pretty similar.

And here are the ploppers I used in this tutorial. You will need to click on them and then right click or control click on a mac, save to your desktop and then open them in your photo editing program.

This is the banner or Facebook Cover image, the long horizontal image across the top of your facebook page.

This is for your profile picture. I made this a little larger in the case that some of you may want to post a Valentine card online.

Be My Valentine?

Time has gotten away from me and I haven't gotten to enjoy this upcoming holiday! It is actually my third favorite day of the year: St. Valentine's Day! I am such a romantic! I love LOVE! I love hearts, pinks and reds, lace and frillies and just about anything Valentine related! If I could find a job that I just skipped around sprinkling rose petals and glitter, I would so be there.

So, here is my Valentine's gift to all of you, some more free facebook covers. I am doing less of the photo ploppers this year because many people have a hard time using them, but I will sprinkle in a few. I will be uploading periodically throughout the day, so check back for more pretties!

To download, click the one you like and right click (or control click on a mac) save it to your desktop. Once you are in Facebook, click the icon on the cover photo to upload a new cover, navigate to it and TADA! Prettiness on your Facebook!

The above image is not for your cover photo, but for your profile pic or for any image you want to digitally send to someone or post online. This is a PNG file. You will need to save it to your computer desktop, take it into a photo editing program and slide your image UNDER this image, flatten and save as a jpg and then upload.

2012 Holiday Facebook Ploppers

Sorry I have been major MIA. I have been super busy with the shop. We are about to throw a Bella Affair and I am super busy working on that. I am having to spend some time on the computer to get caught up on things and thought I would work on some updated Holiday Facebook Ploppers. I will be adding more as I make them.

To use these, right click (or Control click on a mac) save to your desktop. I have done a few that you won't need to add pictures, but if you want to add pictures to the photo ploppers you will need to take them into your photo editing software of choice, place your pics behind them, flatten them and save as a jpg and upload to your Facebook. Enjoy and look for more posts to come soon.
